Dear HDC Families,

On behalf of staff, please accept our thanks for your patience and support last week as students and staff returned to learning.

As mentioned in the email to parents sent from the CBE last week, teachers will be focused primarily on teaching and learning in classrooms. Activities and events such as athletics, performances, field trips, extracurriculars, school council meetings, and other school events may be delayed, rescheduled, or cancelled.

We will communicate information to you as it becomes available. As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at the school.

Remembrance Day Assembly 

As we approach Remembrance Day, our thoughts turn to recognizing and honoring the sacrifices of those who have served and continue to serve our country. 

On Friday, November 7, HDC staff and students will gather together for a Remembrance Day assembly where we will take time to recognize those who have done and continue to do so much to preserve peace and freedom. 

HDC Athletics Update 

Basketball teams will resume practices next week with the following schedule: 

  • Monday – 7:00 AM: Junior Girls  
  • Monday – 3:15 PM: Senior Girls 
  • Tuesday – 7:00 AM: Senior Boys  
  • Tuesday – 3:15 PM: Junior Boys  
  • Wednesday – 7:00 AM: Senior Girls  
  • Wednesday – 3:15 PM: Junior Girls 
  • Thursday – 7:00 AM: Junior Boys  
  • Thursday – 3:15 PM: Senior Boys  
  • Friday – 7:00 AM: Basketball Academy 

Decisions around any potential games will be made this coming week and will be communicated with families when more information is available.
