HDC Parent Association - Casino Volunteers Needed - February 22 & February 23
HD Cartwright School is volunteering at the Elbow River Casino on Saturday, February 22 and Sunday, February 23, 2025. This is our school’s largest fundraiser with money raised going to residencies, school resources and much more.
Thank you to all those people who have already signed up – as of January 26 we still require another 18 volunteers to fill all the necessary positions. If you haven’t signed up and are able to volunteer– please sign up as soon as possible! You do not need volunteer clearance and training is provided at the beginning of your shift. No experience necessary! That means all parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc are eligible to volunteer.
We still require volunteers for the follow slots:
Saturday, February 22: Evening Shift (7:00 PM – 3:30 AM)
- Back Up – 2 Positions
Saturday, February 22: Closing Shift (11:00 PM – 3:30 AM)
- Back Up – 2 Positions
Sunday, February 23: Day Shift (11:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- General Manager – 1 position
- Banker – 1 position
- Backup – 2 positions
Sunday, February 23: Evening Shift (7:00 PM – 3:30 PM)

Reminder - Spectators at HDC Athletic Events
As our volleyball season gets underway we want to remind HDC students and their families that they are NOT allowed to spectate at any away games at other schools unless they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Students who arrive at schools without a parent / guardian present will not be allowed to stay at the game. The same goes for students from other schools who come to HDC expecting to watch games – they will not be allowed to stay unless they have a parent/guardian with them.
HDC students are welcome to come and cheer our teams on at our home games.
Accessing Online Report Cards
Families can view, download or print online report cards for kindergarten to Grade 12 students on Monday, January 27 until May 30, 2025 through MyCBE.
Within MyCBE, families can also view student information, comments from your child’s teacher, assignments and grades and attendance information.
Report cards summarize and communicate student achievement at a point in time. In addition to the report card, schools communicate with parents/guardians about student progress on an ongoing basis in a variety of ways.
