HDC School Council Meeting – Monday, November 20 

Our next HDC School Council meeting is tonight - Monday, November 20 at 6:30 PM in the Learning Commons. This meeting is open to ALL parents and guardians of HDC students.  Every school council meeting includes an update from school administration as well as school council business and planning. The focus of the school report will be on this year’s School Development Plan. 

Student Learning Conferences  

We are looking forward to welcoming parents to our first set of Learning Conferences on Thursday, November 23 (after school & evening) and Friday, November 24 (daytime). Conferences provide families with the important opportunity to discuss student learning and progress with their teachers.  

• IN PERSON Conferences - Thursday, November 23: 4:30 PM – 8:00 PM 
• VIRTUAL/ONLINE Conferences - Friday, November 24: 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM  

The conference booking system opened on Saturday, November 18th and remains open for families to book conferences. The booking system can be accessed by logging into your MyCBE account.  

Cougar Athletics Update

Our Basketball Season has now come to an end for all of our teams. We would like to thank all families who supported their athletes through a great season of basketball! We would also like to thank all our coaches and volunteers who helped develop our young athletes. 

Final Results from the season: 

• Jr. Girls- Finalists in the Crowchild Division 
• Jr. Boys- Champions in the Shaganappi Division 
• Sr. Girls- Finalists in the Shaganappi Division 
• Sr. Boys- Semi-Finalists in the Shaganappi Division 

Basketball Academy will continue with 2 more practices this coming week. Monday from 3:15 - 4:30pm and Wednesday Morning From 7:00-8:05am. We will conclude Basketball Academy with a Staff vs Academy fun game on Monday November 27 from 3:15 - 4:30pm. 

Wrestling Season is now in full swing. We have had a great turnout at practices, and will still welcome new students to join until next week. Practices are a great way to ensure athlete readiness, skill and safety for the upcoming tournaments. 

Wrestling athletes have been given forms that are required for joining the team. Forms should be returned to Ms. Fitzgerald or Mrs. Kanary. Please ensure all forms are handed in before the first tournament which is Thursday November 30. Fees can be made in the front office or on your MyCBE account.
