Dear HDC Families!
Please find the weekly message below. Even though we only have two weeks of classes before the winter break, there is always lots going on at HDC.
Please keep an eye out in your inbox in the next couple of days for a very important email regarding volunteering at our HDC Parent Association Casino scheduled for Febraury 22 & 23, 2025 at the Elbow RIver Casino. We will require a substantial number of volunteers to fulfill all our obligations. Proceeds from the casino in the past have been between 60 to 70 thousand dollars and will provide the majority of School Council funds for the next 18 months. Casino funds go towards supporting technology, residencies, field trips, guest speakers, classroom enhancements, and many more learning opportunities for our students.
Have a wonderful week!

HDC Wrestling
Our wrestlers worked so hard at our first tournament, and they improved so much as the tournament went on. Congratulations team!
Our next wrestling tournament will be on Friday December 13 (Females) and Saturday December 14 (Males) at Lakeshore School in Auburn Bay Southeast. All athletes MUST arrange their own transportation to and from the venue. Communication with your child will be important throughout the tournament if you plan to drop them off, as wrestling tournament end times are always subject to change. Please ensure your athlete has a water bottle, clean shoes, snacks and athletic clothing with them, as described in the parent letter.
Parents are welcome and encouraged to come and watch, but student spectators must be accompanied by a supervising adult.
*Please inform Mrs. Kanary if you cannot make it to the tournament by Tuesday December 10th to avoid unnecessary charges to your account.*
